3rd Term Evaluation of English - 2017

3rd Term Evaluation of English Language has been conducted last month (November 2017) in four Educational Institutes around Colombo district. We prepared question papers for all grades according to the Local Syllabus requirements of English. Therefore we included creative questions to cover all the aspects of English Language such as Grammar, Writing, Reading, Listening and Vocabulary. We used question techniques such as Binary Choice, Re-ordering, Guided writing, Free writing, Answering questions, Error correction, Fill in the blanks, Selection to comply along with the Government Examination Structure. Children got a valuable opportunity through this procedure to measure their knowledge of English Language before school exams. We were able to maintain a better discipline over the exam period and we are hoping to offer Well Recognized Certificate for students those who obtained higher marks.

Following criteria shall be effective for the upcoming 3rd term examination and thereafter. Not affect for the previous exams.

35 - 44	S	Pass	N/A
45 - 64	C	Credit	Bronze Certificate
65 - 74	B	Merit	Silver Certificate
75 - 100	A	Distinction	Gold Certificate

Talking Chef program

Inaugural "Talking Chef" program organized by Spoken English class was held on 19th October 2017 at VISHU Institute - IDH. During this program children had to prepare a short meal and answer several questions asked by the judge panel. They got a valuable opportunity to enhance English language skills and presentation skills through this program. Of course they got the opportunity to taste their buddies meals too.
